This tightly framed diptych is inspired by microscope images of insects crushed on a windshield. Through patterns, textures, shapes, and colors drawn from advertising posters, these two compositions are intended to be striking. Along the roadsides, signs regularly alert us to the danger that vehicular traffic poses to certain animals (hedgehogs, deer, amphibians, etc.). Once again, insects seem to be the overlooked collateral victims. Yet whether on the ground or in the air, they do cross the roads! Why not give them the spotlight — if only for the duration of a (fictional) campaign?
