The arrival of 5G was yet another example of our authorities’ lack of consideration for the potential impact of our technologies on living organisms, particularly insects. Studies have shown, however, that the frequencies used by 5G (up to 120 GHz, compared to 6 GHz for 4G and Wi-Fi) affect their metabolism, causing their body temperature to rise. This series of silhouette cutouts depicts swarms of insects that seem to be rushing chaotically toward a coveted object. A satirical metaphor for our tendency to blindly rush toward new technologies, without taking a step back or considering the consequences they might bring.
