Commission to design and coordinate the creation of a participatory mural on a wall approximately 30 meters long by 2.5 meters high at the Prazqueron middle school in the town of Romanel-sur-Lausanne. Alexandre Borgeaud was given free rein and proposed a project to raise awareness of local flora and fauna by depicting a variety of animals and plants in their natural habitats. Mammals, reptiles, insects, and various birds are arranged in a harmonious, elongated composition. A 1:10 scale paper model was first created and then meticulously transferred to the canvas using a grid. The artist completed the line drawings himself, then handed the project over to the students to help with the coloring.
